Scooters - What's The Difference Between A Class-2 & A Class-3 Scooter…
Class-2 scooters - These are for use on pavements & to cross roads. These scooters travel at a maximum speed of 4mph (6.4kph). Class-2 scooters include those that fold for the car boot & ones that are 4mph for general pavement use.
Class-3 scooters - These can be used on a pavement or on the road. If you are travelling on a pavement the maximum permitted speed is 4mph (6.4kpm), but if you are travelling on the road you can do up to 8mph (12.8kph). To use a Class-3 scooter you must be over 14 years old. You don’t need a driving licence nor insurance, but the scooter must be registered & taxed with the DVLA.
These scooters are intended for outdoor use only as they are much larger & more robust than the class-2 scooters. As they are designed for road-use as well as pavement use these scooters all have lights & indicators.
Maintenance & Repairs
Our service doesn’t end once a product is purchased. We offer the very highest standards of after-sales care. We have our own engineers to service & repair your products so you always know who you are dealing with & we don’t leave you for weeks without your product working.
We recommend that your scooter is serviced every 12 months to ensure that it is in safe working order. We can normally carry out a general service at your home, but if you do have a problem with it or you want the batteries checking at the same time we can take it in to our workshop facilities at our showroom.
